A clean review starts with clean inputs. Use this checklist to gather what’s needed and reduce back-and-forth.
Minimum required
- Most recent Profit & Loss statement
- Most recent Balance Sheet
Helpful if available
- Prior-period Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for comparison
- Bank transaction export for the same period
- Credit card transaction export for the same period
- Accounts receivable aging report
- Accounts payable aging report
Formatting tips
- Export files as PDF, CSV, or Excel (avoid screenshots)
- Ensure the period date range is clearly visible
- If you have multiple entities, separate files by entity
- If reports are cash vs accrual, note which you’re providing
