Financial Clarity Review

A focused diagnostic of your books and workflows that delivers a prioritized roadmap to calm control and decision-ready reporting.

At a glance

Pricing

Fixed-fee diagnostic with Core, Enhanced, and Complex scopes based on complexity, backlog, and reporting needs. Includes analysis, a written roadmap, and a delivery call.

Timeline

Typical delivery is 2 to 3 weeks once access is complete and we have current statements. If your setup is complex (multiple entities, major backlog, missing documentation), timing is confirmed during kickoff.

For

Who this is for

Common fits and triggers for this engagement.

Founder-operators who want decision-ready reporting before committing to ongoing monthly support.

Teams with inconsistent close, unclear numbers, or cash visibility gaps.

Businesses preparing for financing, a leadership handoff, or a tighter operating rhythm.

Operators who cannot clearly explain month-to-month movement in cash, profit, or key accounts.

Teams with tools and workflows that do not match how the business actually runs.

Founders who have outgrown DIY bookkeeping and want a clear next step.

Timeline

How it works

Simple steps, scoped to your data and timeline.

  1. Kickoff and access checklist (accounting file, statements, integrations, and prior context).

  2. Discovery: review of books, reconciliations, chart of accounts, and current reporting.

  3. Workflow review: how money moves through AP/AR, payroll, bill pay, invoicing, and approvals.

  4. Diagnostics: identify root causes, risks, and the few highest-leverage fixes.

  5. Findings memo and roadmap delivered with prioritized actions and scope options.

  6. Review call to align on the cleanest path forward (cleanup, monthly cadence, or handoff).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you book.

We review your accounting file, recent statements, and the workflows behind the numbers. That includes reconciliations, chart of accounts structure, categorization rules, AP/AR flow, and how cash moves through bank, payroll, and payment systems.

We request read-only access to your accounting system plus current bank and credit card statements and key integrations (payroll, bill pay, invoicing). We keep the request list focused and confirm exactly what applies during kickoff.

Usually 60 to 90 minutes for kickoff and context, plus short follow-ups when something needs clarification. Most of the work is performed independently once access is in place.

The Clarity Review is read-only so we can assess the current state without introducing noise. Any proposed changes are captured in the roadmap and scoped before execution.

It means you can trust the numbers and understand them quickly. A decision-ready pack ties P&L, balance sheet, and cash together with simple explanations so you can act without second-guessing.

Yes. You receive a written findings memo and prioritized plan you can use with your team or another provider. Continuing with EJC is optional.

It depends on transaction volume, number of accounts and entities, integration complexity, and how far the books have drifted. We guide you to the right tier based on the intake checklist and what you need the numbers to support.

Most teams move into Cleanup and Catch-Up (if there is backlog) and then into a monthly cadence through our Fractional Accounting Department. If your books are already clean, we can scope ongoing monthly delivery immediately.

If you need an audit, review, or formal attestation, this is not that. It is also not a fit for teams who want a one-time report but do not plan to maintain a monthly cadence afterward.
